Quick-release knurled nuts provide a fast, tool-free solution for frequent clamping operations, where a nut needs to be removed completely and quickly re-attached. The nut tilts over the threaded spindle and then straightens to engage the threads. Once the threads are aligned, only a fraction of a turn is required to achieve a secure hold, saving both time and effort compared with conventional nuts. For reliable performance, the clamping surface must always be aligned at right angles to the threaded bolt.
